  1. Dr Hassan, Dr Shaheed and Dr Jameel have made it absolutely clear that they are not interested in any positions in a possible future Government led by the MDP Coalition.
However, they will work relentlessly during the next few days to help bring a Change of Government.
There is NO possibility of them being on your team.

  2. Dr Hassan and his Team ONLY endorsed Anni in the second round for obvious reasons. No one wants Maumoon and everyone wants a CHANGE. As 100% committed reformists they reacted before anobody else could even move, by endorsing Anni unconditionally! Thats what's called real Class! Inspite of all the antics of MDP and all the unjustified negative attacks on Dr Hassan just before the election, he was the first to endorse Anni.
But make no mistake! Neither Dr Hassan nor Dr Shaheed or Dr Jameel will ever join an MDP led government (not because of MDP's earlier attacks). But you will see them put all their energy to end the present regime.

  3. I have this concern.

12 Minister out of 37 is from Addu.

    That is 32 per cent.

So rest of Maldives gets 68 percent cabinet seats.

  4. first lets get the job done and win this election, then clean the system of cronyism and nepotism and install a democratic transparent system.

I salute the coalition, in no point in time this country has been so united. Coalition and Party leaders lead us by your example.

  6. bushry, did you know that Dr. Mohamed Shareef (Sarippey) spoilt and finally deleted the MSA-UK yahoogroup list (a well-established communication channel at that time with lots of old archives.) using a girl. if I remember correctly msa members at that time passed a resolution against all his mischievous behaviours and abuse of authority as a student advisor elected to the central committee. because of this i do not find him a very responsible guy although he got a phd.

  7. the government has to be slim down a bit, there are 16 ministries right and your proposing 19 what are we getting at. At this rate Aneh Divehiraajje will be more bulky than the current gov.

  10. bushreee you are day dreaming.I am 100% sure maumoon will elect again. There is no hope for hassan either .During the Gadha 5 Years Yameen wil come out and be groomed for the 2013 election. Now DRP says Christianity will be here if Maumoon not elected, then they will say if DRP do not rule in the country Christianity will come. Tonight Hiyani programe from Capital radio.. DRP presenters say it is not problem even a family rule.. and they said see Bangladheh ,see pakistan and India,, even they said see USA after Gerorge Bush his son is ruling now. So they will brain wash the public in the upcoming GADHA 5 years,Opposition need a lot of work and to unite to topple the current governnmnet. iF not we will not save from kaminee

  11. well arranged... apart from its a bit long. We can manage with lesser ministries. And its not necessariliy everone contributed to the process should be gifted a ministerial post.
    cheers

  12. For your kind information: Dr Didi (Dental Didi) was rejected by his medical peers in a vote when he stood for the post of President of the Medical Association. His appointment, as you have suggested, would create more divisions and damage the sector.

  13. may I propose you as the minister of information arts and fashion reform.

  15. Guys try to get more votes for the Coalition. Everyone is campaigning for the MDP Coalition.

Its important we get more of DRP Voters to vote to our side. Tell them the evil side Gayoom. For 29 years he has been steeling the money us poor islanders and living like a Middle Eastern King. Lets us unite and vote him out.

  17. “LEGAL ACTION”
“Legal action must be taken against Kamaldeen,” said Anni at a live press conference from the studio of private television channel DhiTV on Sunday.
“It must be filed with the Prosecutor General. He [Kamaldeen] should be arrested. We should not let this pass by,” Anni said.

There posted is a sample of the “CHANGE” to come? Anni! , Anni! Oh Anni! A man is PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL HE IS PROVED INNOCENT. Even if he is your political enemy.

There is something called …. DUE PROCESS ---- before arrest and incarceration. ISN’T THIS THE TYPE OF THING THAT NEEDS CHANGE? THE MENTALITY TO BE ….. THE LAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. ANNOUNCING THE BIRTH OF CHANGE!!!!!!!!!! Part 1.

It tickles me no end to read the pearls of wisdom you dish out. Look at this wonderful List. So different from what we had these 30 years……. WE ARE AMAZED at how DIFFERENT they are. Its staring you in the face………. SO DIFFERENT. :-) It appears that the hottest cakes on sale today are delicious “reform cakes”. Reform cakes of all sizes and shapes at that, and all tans as well !!!! This list is sooooooooooooooooo cool. Hey!!!!! We are not going to have ministers any more!. Rather Secretaries. Wow! That’s change! And It will please our masters behind!!!!!!! We hear! We Obey! sooooooooooooo cool man! jump on the boat!

  19. Its nice to day dream. But this time Maumoon is going to win. Why? Because Anni and MDP were literally living in "ANEH DHIVEHI RAAJJE" before the election.

It was obvious no one was going to win during the first round and the only way to win against Maumoon is to have a crdible alternative candidate to face Maumoon. It doesn't take a genius to realise that the only candidate who could attract enough votes from all sides to defeat Maumoon is Dr Hassan.

But MDP thought they were already elected and instead of attacking Maumoon, they targetted Dr Hassan. Now here we are..with Anni under a united front to face off the Dictator. This is Gayyoom's dream come true. It would be easy to finish off Anni and MDP with an onslaught of religious attacks accusing MDP of trying to spread Christianity in our country. It may not be true. But it will scare all the islanders to rush and vote for Maumoon to save the Maldives from the Christians! See the picture?

This was so obvious even before the election. Yet, Anni and MDP were so power hungry they failed to see the trap Maumoon laid for them. Gayyoom wanted to fight the second round against the weakest candidate "ANNI" and he got what he wanted.

Only God can save us now!

  21. It is a fact that in politics, sometimes parties of different philosophies can come together to work for a common good. This does not mean that they are enemies. No one has a monopoly on the support of the Maldivians. Dr. Hassan has supporters just as Anni has supporters and Gasim has supporters. Dr. Hassan has a phd and Anni has a Masters Degree. As far as public records are concerned neither of them have taken part in any corruption. So, no one who loves this nation should try to stir up hatred between Hassan and Anni and Gasim and the rest. We should all be united behind these leaders to achieve our common goal. As Hassan himself said, it would serve no one's interest to let Gayyoom and Yamin win. If some of Hassan's supporters stir up hatred and cause disunity in the coalition, and because of that, if Gayyoom wins, imagine what will happen to all opposition leaders, including Dr.Hassan! Then the people of this country will be orphansed and we will lose all hope for at least another twenty years. So, people; please unite and work with focus. When we dislodge Gayyoom on 28th oct, we could then decide the way forward.

    ReplyDelete
  22. People! Wakeup! This isn't about Anni ir MDP or Dr.Hassan. Our country is precariously tilting at the edge of an erupting volcano. We have two paths in front of us on 28th Oct. One is that the MDP-Coalition wins. Even then Gayyoom and Yamin will not accept defeat. They will use the police and the MNDF and their private militia and thugs to create havoc and push this country down the volcano. People will be alughtred...killed...mutilated. The second path is for Gayyoom to win. In such a scenario there is the possibilty of the opposition taking to the streets in protest. Gayyoom and MNDF and police will brutally stop such an uprising. Even then there will be bloodshed. So we are all now experiencing the clam before the storm. Things aren't as rosy as it may apeear. We are all victims trapped. For Gayyoom and Yamin and their family memebers, losing is not an option! tHEY AHEV TOO MUCH TO LOSE. FOR THEM THIS IS A DO OR DIE SITUATION AND.....MAY ALLAH HELP US!

  23. On revised list.

When I finished I almost felt like I was in Aneh Dhivehi Raaje...on sort of a high...

    Thanks.

  24. Your idea on combining Islamic Council and Dhivehi culture has a point.

It is sad that no one talks about Dhivehi culture and civilization. Our culture is being diluted by Sheiks mostly in the name of Islam. In reality our culture and Islam has a unique blend which even Adaalath has failed to address.

According to Majeed the role of the independent religious institution formed under MDP coalition will be to protect the country’s religious unity, promote religious activities, taking care of mosques, sending out Imams to give religious advice, issue religious fatwa, reduce religious differences , managing affairs of Hajj pilgrimage , managing Zakat and controlling religious fanaticism.

  26. Is this a cabinet or faculties of University of Maldives you have brought here. How can Dr.Riyaz and Ugail can perform a cabinet portfolio, where past 20 years they haven't been a single island in Maldives.

  27. Dr Didi is a thief. He was sacked from ADK for stealing..

    ReplyDelete
  28. What is wrong with you, Mohamed? I really thought you know better than this. Anni and his gang aren't about our nation. Get smart. Gasim is not about my nation. Get real. Hussain Rasheed is not about Islam. Wake up.

    ReplyDelete
  29. and you (the person who last commented) think maumoon is all about maldives? the maldives we know today (you and me included)is full of corruption, gang/street violence, prostitution, drug and alcohol abuse, cheap politics and a 30 year old regime still trying to hold onto it, as if it was theire right.WAKE UP!

  30. Why Anni has failed ? , becasue he attacked Dr.Hassna more than he should attck to Gayyom.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Bushry, I think you should leave independent institutions like the MMA out of any list of revised 'government' portfolios. Leadership change at such organisations should only be brought about if the people in charge prove themselves to be incompetent or biased, and not with changes in Government. Each individual is a citizen of this country, and given the opportunity and the legal mandate to be independent, most will prove their loyalty to the nation. A perfect example to date is Dr. Mohamed Latheef, Chair of the Civil Service Commission.

  34. Hi Bushry

"Democracy consists of choosing your dictators, after they've told you what it is you want to hear"

Opinions are ment to be told. So here are some of the amendments I think would suit the positions.

Min. of Sports, Arts & Vocational Education: Hon. Shafeeq (DO Sappe)
(Deputy: Hon. Hamidh Abdul Gafoor)- I don’t agree with the two as I have worked with Sappe’ and Hamidh in MDP/there are better unrecognized people for this job, have to be physically active, creativity, understanding the abilities of art to create a culture.

Governor of MMA: Hon. Adam Manik (Maizan) Not pointing out a relative but I know he will be capable with his experiences/the place needs to be cleaned up using the past knowledge.

Note: I don’t think some of the individuals ref to ministers will accept the positions. Eg. Hon. Solah Shihab, Hon. Ahmed Mjuthaba, Hon Arif Hilmy etc....
